Thenamaris is a company that manages high-quality ships on behalf of their owners and customers, thus helping to transport goods to people around the world. The fleet of Thenamaris currently consists of 82 vessels, tankers and dry cargo vessels while Thenamaris LNG manages a total of 10 vessels: 5 vessels carrying liquefied natural gas (LNG) and 5 vessels carrying liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The company employs over 3500 sailors and over 300 employees in its offices in Athens.

DCS Information Technology Consultants has been active in the field of information technology since 1998. The core of its philosophy is the effective coverage of the specialized requirements of the clients with a budgeted return on investment and guaranteed project delivery, in order to gain the position of trusted consultant and long-term partner. Working closely with Microsoft is a strategic asset and a lever of success.

Thenamaris and DCS have been working together seamlessly for a long time.

As part of Thenamaris' strong desire for optimal digital transformation of sensitive collaboration and partnership processes, DCS has studied and proposed the M365 as it offers endless possibilities for effective communication and collaboration.

In the context of the project implementation, basic principles were:

Ø  Customized instead of general: Apply the wider value of the M365 to the specific needs of the company

Ø  Focus on what matters: Depending on the needs of the business, install the appropriate M365 applications and enable specific features

The results achieved and delivered were:

ü  The simplification of the way of cooperation and partnership through Cloud services

ü  Increase productivity with the ability to work on the device of the user's choice - anywhere and anytime

ü  Improving collaboration with state-of-the-art tools for teamwork and teleconferencing through Microsoft Teams

ü  Maximum security by meeting the highest Microsoft privacy standards

ü  The implementation of identity and access management policies (MFA, Single Sign-on, Conditional Access) in the cloud

ü  The lowest cost of implementation and operation and the greatest freedom for the IT team of the company

Christos Georgiou, IT Manager of Thenamaris, commented on the transition as follows:

"Thenamaris is a shipping company with a long-standing belief in the value of IT as a strategic advantage in achieving its corporate goals. The gradual transfer of applications that cover critical areas of its activity in the M365 is another proof of the value that the company gives to the utilization of all the modern technology trends. The M365 platform is another strategic choice of the company for the transition of its IT infrastructure to the next stage of maturity, and of course our cooperation with DCS was a very important factor in the success of the project, thus sealing a long-term successful cooperation between the two companies. "

Optimal utilization and lasting value of the M365 investment is enhanced by outsourcing ongoing support to a dedicated service manager and consulting support in the ongoing customization process so that employees as a whole can harness the power of the M365.

Accessibility is a top priority for the company and the implementation of the M365 project guarantees it.
